Erik Cambria is a Professor at Nanyang Technological University, where he also holds the appointment of Provost Chair in Computer Science and Engineering, and Founder of several AI companies, such as SenticNet (https://business.sentic.net), offering B2B sentiment analysis services, and finaXai (https://finax.ai), providing fully explainable financial insights. Prior to moving to Singapore, he worked at Microsoft Research Asia (Beijing) and HP Labs India (Bangalore), after earning his PhD through a joint program between the University of Stirling (UK) and MIT Media Lab (USA). Today, his research focuses on neurosymbolic AI for interpretable, trustworthy, and explainable affective computing in domains like social media monitoring, financial forecasting, and AI for social good. He is ranked in Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers List of World’s Top 1% Scientists, is recipient of many awards, e.g., IEEE Outstanding Early Career, was listed among the AI’s 10 to Watch, and was featured in Forbes as one of the 5 People Building Our AI Future. He is an IEEE Fellow, Associate Editor of various top-tier AI journals, e.g., Information Fusion and IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, and is involved in several international conferences as keynote speaker, program chair and committee member.
Prof. Matthew Chua is the winner of the prestigious Global Excellence Award 2024 (SMART Society, USA), as a distinguished leader in the field of AI and technological innovation in healthcare internationally. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Digital and Smart Health Office, Ng Teng Fong Centre for Healthcare Innovation, National Healthcare Group, to drive impact-driven Digital and AI transformation for the entire healthcare cluster. Matt is also currently an Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at NUS School of Medicine. He has also won data science competitions at the national level, clinching 3rd place for the Data VIZard at the Data Arcade Tournament 2022. He has also won the prestigious MINDEF Exemplary Innovator Award for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024. At NUS, Matt drives the research and lectures on AI and Tech for the advancement of Medicine Health. He has won prestigious research grants, amounting to more than S$8 million, from Ministry of Health, SG Enable, and internationally. He has also published more than 45 papers in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals, many of which are in Q1 tier journals, and is widely cited. He is also the Editor for PLOS One Journal. Gábor Benedek is an Associate Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest, researching and lecturing in the fields of economic and business simulations, social network analysis, econometrics, data mining and predictive analytics. Gábor was among the founders of Data Explorer, the first consulting company in predictive analytics in Hungary. In 1999 Data Explorer built the first social network analysis software for churn and community detection applicable for mobile customers in Europe, based on Gábor’s theoretical foundations and proposals. In 2005 Gábor founded Thesys Labs, the largest pharmaceutical data mining consulting company in Central-Eastern Europe. In 2010 Thesys Labs has developed the largest public physicians’ social network in the world, based on real patient-flow data between general practitioners and specialists. Currently, Gábor is an innovation partner at Lynx Analytics and Thesys SEA, both companies being Singapore-based, providing predictive analytics for communication companies, financial services and healthcare sectors in South-East-Asia. Gábor received his PhD in 2003, and he is the author of one book and author/coauthor of over 20 articles.

Kwan Hui LIM is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, and leads the Social and Urban Analytics Lab. As an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Researcher, Data Scientist and Manager, he has more than 10 years of experience in managing and contributing to multiple AI and Data Science projects in both academia and industry. He currently leads a team of 10+ undergraduate, postgraduate and full-time researchers, and has successfully supervised 10 PhD/MSc students and 40+ undergraduate students to completion. He is an active researcher in AI and Data Science, having published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers on the topics of Data Mining, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Recommendation Systems and Natural Language Processing. He regularly serves on the program committees for leading AI conferences, such as AAAI, IJCAI, AAMAS, CIKM, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, etc, and reviews for over 20 journals on AI and Data Science. He also serves on the technical advisory boards for various government bodies and industry. In the area of AI, he has also been recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2022 and 2023 based on a ranking by Stanford University and Elsevier BV.
